Hearing Tests
Hearing Testing and Evaluations
Choosing the right hearing aid starts with a clear understanding of your unique hearing loss needs. Our advanced testing procedures accurately identify whether or not you have hearing loss and measure the type and severity.
Do you find yourself straining to hear, even with hearing aids? Cochlear implant evaluations will determine if you could benefit from a cochlear implant. If implantation is the best option, your provider will work with you to optimize your device for your specific hearing needs through a process called mapping.
More on Cochlear Implant Evaluation & MappingThe first step in a treatment plan is often testing your hearing to determine your percentage of hearing loss. These tests are performed by our licensed and nationally certified audiologists. During your session, you’ll be tested with a series of low-and high-frequency words to see how well you understand conversational language. Those results, combined with the results of other tests, will let us know which kinds of hearing aids you may need.
More on Hearing TestsIf you work in an industry with excessive noise, you may be required by OSHA to complete regular hearing screenings. Our audiologists can complete these for you. We can typically finish the tests in under 30 minutes to get you back to your day as quickly as possible.
